Q. Can you explain about eyelid surgery?
A. Eyelid Surgery which is also called BLEPHAROPLASTY is a procedure to remove fat - usually along with the excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids.
Eyelid surgery can correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes.
It also produces upper eyelid crease to Asian eyes.
Blepharoplasty brings youthful look which last for years.
Upper and lower eyelid surgery can both be carried out under local anesthesia with each operation taking two hours. Patient needs to come for the dressing 2 or 3 times and stitches will remove on 5th day. Some swelling will occur though this will fade in 7-10 days. During this time wearing of sunglass is recommended. |
